Duties

Perform quality control checks to ensure equipment meets depot requirements. Ensure special test requirements are met in accordance with customer statement of work. Utilize instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, dial bore gages, ignition timers, fuel pump testers, etc. for measuring. Modify testing templates on computer programs to test for product assurance. Test engine systems to ensure quality mobile equipment.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Position is subject to Overseas Deployment.
• This position requires the completion of an Overseas Deployment Physical Exam if deployed Overseas and an annual exam thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
• You may be expected to travel 25% Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) for business purposes.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
• Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.
• Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
• Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 75 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Some assignments require climbing ladders or on items to perform testing, troubleshooting, and/or repair procedures. Wears and utilizes required safety devices and equipment.
