About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Duties

Plan and establishes overall leave schedules. Assign work to employees and provides technical direction. Plan use of subordinate workers' equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis. Review completed work to assure that production standards are met. Participate in improvement of work methods to achieve optimum content.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
• This position requires a successfully completion of the Civilian Education System Course and the Supervisory Development Course within 12 months in the position.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
• Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.
• Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
• Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.

I have the ability to perform common supervisor duties which includes explaining the proper procedures, protocols, or processes that is required for work direction of employees. I can demonstrate how to interpret guides such as blueprints, sketches, and technical manuals to perform functions of parts or systems; provide quality control review on performed repairs on heavy mobile equipment vehicles for organizations; and illustrate troubleshooting analysis to diagnose malfunctions. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
