About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Forces Command, XVIII ABN Corps, Senior Cdr Aug, G-2 Security, Fort Liberty, NC 28310.
Duties
Provides technical and administrative supervision over personnel assigned to the G-2 security office.
Supervises the development, planning, oversight, administration, management, implementation, and enforcement of DCIPS General Intelligence Security (GIS) disciplines of Personnel, Information, Industrial Security, Foreign Disclosure and SETA.
Provides definitive technical advice and assistance to commanders, local leadership, and the FORSCOM workforce regarding establishment of comprehensive security programs.
Meets and coordinates regularly with a wide variety of groups and individuals concerning a broad range of security-related issues related to the administration of the FORSCOM Senior Commander's (O-7/8/9) sustainable readiness model (SRM) activities.
Oversees FORSCOM security programs to include supervising an active Security Education and Training Awareness (SETA) program.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
