About the Position: This position is located with the U S Army MSCoE, Chemical School, 3rd Chemical Brigade, S1 on Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Ft Leonard Wood is located in South-Central Mo Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Mo. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is more than an hour's drive to the West of Ft Leonard Wood.

Duties

Maintain accountability and responsibility for all property recorded in the automated and manual property books. Ensure that hand receipts prepared from property book entries are accurate and truly reflective of items issued and that hand receipts are signed for by authorized individuals. Ensure that all property is safeguarded while in storage and is issued for authorized purposes only. Maintain document files to support property books to include suspense documents outstanding for resolution such as reports of survey, statements of charges, cash collection and other adjustment type transactions. Operate a government vehicle from 1 1/2 ton to 5 ton capacity to pick-up and deliver supplies and equipment to and from customers of the Central Issue Section throughout the post. Prepare daily trip tickets pertaining to vehicle use. Perform driver maintenance. Observe Installation traffic laws and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Incumbent may be required to lift 40lbs.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AdaptabilityConscientiousnessCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Teamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-5).
