About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville.
Duties
Assist the Administrative Officer in coordinating personnel actions within the Directorate.
Assist Directorate personnel with resolution of a variety of substantive, procedural, and policy matters.
Provide liaison with the Civilian Personnel advisory Center (CPAC) to resolve related issues and problems.
Send reminders and guidance material to supervisors and provide periodic status reports to the Director and command staff.
Prepare award, promotion and retirement certificates to include obtaining necessary accessories (i.e., pins, medal sets, binders.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) Assist employees with civilian training requirements (e.g. Civilian Education System (CES); 2) Coordinate personnel actions (e.g. benefits, awards, travel, etc.) for resolution of inquiries and regulatory compliance; 3) Maintain performance evaluation systems; AND 4) Maintain manpower support (e.g. Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond one year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
