This position is located at US Mint,Mint/HQ/Dir/Sales and Marketing Directorate. As a Visual Information Specialist, you will be responsible for the development and design of a variety of marketing media, and promotion, sales and service of a wide variety of numismatic collectibles.

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Responsible for promoting the Mint brand for the purposes of communicating the brand identity across all audience channels. Design and produce original visual and digital communication material, develops new concepts, and incorporates current social trends or style standards. Such material must often be developed without the benefit of illustrations or previous work products. Meet with executives and other professionals to present design concepts and techniques for use in high-level conferences, briefings, hearings, and Departmental Offices and client agency documents and publications. Accumulate background information through consultation, briefings, and analysis of basic data, then creates, plans, designs, and produces or initiates production of completed visual presentations using the selected media or combinations thereof.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Managing all aspects of producing visual information for print and online uses, including the design, creation, and preparation of graphic art, videos, charts, page layouts, designs, and related content; AND - Planning and coordinating the preparation and use of photographs, videos, illustrations, drawings and various kinds of visual material for use in communicating information through visual means; AND - Applying script, graphic design and print electronic publishing processes using current versions of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) and Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) applications; AND - Communicating and interacting; both orally and in writing with various levels of associates. Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Designing, developing, and producing requested visual products for publications and presentations; AND - Planning and coordinating the preparation and use of photographs, videos, illustrations, drawings and various kinds of visual material for use in communicating information through visual means; AND - Applying graphic design and print electronic publishing processes using current versions of graphical software applications; AND - Communicating and interacting, both orally and in writing with various levels of associates.
