You will serve as a PLANS AND READINESS ANALYST (JOINT) in the MANPOWER AND PERSONNEL DIRECTORATE (J1) of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will be responsible for writing and evaluating postal scenarios for exercises.
You will pass information to/from MPSA, JMPA, JMPA-PAC, and the Service components.
You will participate in and is the J1 subject matter expert in operations/exercises for the USINDOPACOM Operational Capability Assessment (OCA) and Joint Executive Control Group (JECG), as required.
You will serve as the subject matter expert on all personnel accountability matters with regard to Active Duty Military, Reserve Military-MIL, DoD Civilians-CIV, Contractors, DoD Dependents, and American Citizens-AMCITS.
You will assist with all facets of J113 Operations, Plans, Exercise, and Readiness Branch. Coordinates personnel operations specifically focused on USINDOPACOM real world crisis, contingencies and support to all USINDOPACOM joint exercices.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as:
Displaying expert knowledge of joint operations and planning, and joint personnel support;
Using knowledge of personnel management and accountability for crisis, contingencies, and exercises in support of the command mission;
Experience with Joint Postal Operations or Service Specific Postal Operations as a Subject Matter Expert;
Experience planning and executing for exercise and readiness;
Experience developing and executing operational and contingency plans; and
Joint Executive Control Group (JECG) experience and some understanding of the Joint Manning Document (JMD) development.
