You will serve as a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist in the Quality AND Compliance Department ofFLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will research, interpret, analyze and apply proper guidelines, policies, and regulations.
You will provide technical advice and assistance on all matters related to quality, including verification of materials, products, processes, documentation, etc.
You will evaluate performance of subordinates, give instructions, provide advice, and counsel to subordinates on performance, technical, and administrative matters.
You will coordinate, plan, and schedule with other organizations managers, and customers as appropriate.
You will assess and revise policies, and procedures as needed to find ways to improve quality, timeliness, and effective work.
You will identify developmental and functional training requirements of subordinates and coordinate scheduling of training.

- You must obtain and maintain required levels of certification and/or license or training as a condition of employment.
- Monitors and ensures compliance of subordinate staff certification and license requirements as a condition of employment
- You may be required to wear protective safety equipment and clothing when appropriate.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience as follows; 1) Conduct quality audits and investigations, analyzing the results and developing recommendations for corrections and improvements; 2) Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data associated with the production and manufacturing process; 3) Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, instructions, and technical manuals; 4) Experience with data collection procedures and information gathering techniques; 5) Ensure that verification of essential quality requirements is accomplished, deficiencies are properly documented, and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence. 6) Provide assistance to resolve product and process quality issues, to implement process improvements, and to identify and resolve safety related issues and violations. 7) Plan, organize, and direct the activities of personnel, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and ensuring customer requirements are satisfied.
