This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Learning and Diffusion Group (LDG) .
As a Supv Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-14, you will Deputy Director of DMLS and lead staff working across CMMI models to design and execute learning systems supporting participant success and future model development and refinement.
Duties
Represent the Director at meetings, on task forces, and working groups, internally and externally, as needed, and assembles and directs teams or task forces for the duration of special assignments or projects
With the Director, plan the overall workload distribution, sets priorities, and prepares schedules for completion.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships through mutual understanding of providers needs and concerns while simultaneously engaging providers in CMS goals.
Direct and lead technically proficient project teams. Define members assignments, reviews work for accuracy and supervises members training needs.
Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control the resources required to assure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective accomplishment of the Divisions functional responsibilities.

In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on healthcare model implementation and refinement. 2. Track and assess work activities of employees and/or teams to ensure that program and operational goals are met. 3. Design and implement improvement strategies or tools to foster shared learning in support of a community or healthcare organization.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
