About the Position: Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) provides global contracting support to a diverse customer base in support of the Joint Warfighter.

Duties

Provides guidance to direct and outline the future of delegated contracting activities. Oversees the development, coordination, and promulgation of strategic plans/documents to enhance program effectiveness in the areas of contracting. Researches and analyzes strategic guidance to ensure strategic documents are consistent with priorities and objectives. Formulates plans and executes improvements to program policies, practices, methods, and organizational structure. Anticipates problems, develops sound solutions and action plans to ensure program/mission accomplishment. Serves as liaison to staff elements on matters pertaining to the role of contracting to build and sustain a transparent communications network. Develops statistics from existing data and identifies current trends as a means to project future requirements and trends. Represents the directorate in a variety of forums associated with operational or strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • Must file financial statement.
