About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Cyber Command at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia

Duties

Supports and coordinates Cyber Forensics and Malware Analysis studies and analytical assessments. Supports in the performance routine maintenance of computer and networking equipment to maintain mission readiness. Assist with development of cyber threat briefings in varying formats and for various audiences (multiple classification levels). (75%) Supports counterintelligence, law enforcement and other investigations and operations requiring digital media preservation and evidence acquisition, computer forensic examinations, malware analysis, and support to cyber operations.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
• Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI).
• Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
• Must pass an initial and periodic urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military Affairs Desk Officer (MADO) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]
• Temporary duty travel may be required approximately 10% of the time.
• Incumbent may be required to work weekends/holidays in support of Crisis Action Teams (CAT) during cyber incidents.
• Must obtain a commercial certification credential that has been accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The approved base line certification for this task requirement is IAT Level II certification of DoDD 8571.01-M,
• Incumbent must achieve IAT Level II certification within six months or less of entrance on duty.

(3) Maintaining computer and networking equipment to include databases and office files and (4) Advise and assisting personnel regarding technical forensic data matters.
