About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, G-3/5/7, G-34 Protection Directorate, Provost Marshal, Security Enterprise Division located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Serve as a Security Specialist in the Security Enterprise Division, G-34 Protection Directorate, Provost Marshal United States Army Reserve Command.
Perform security program administration and management oversight functions in support of the Army Reserve security enterprise mission.
Adapt business processes, technical criteria and standards for security technology, equipment, materiel, and systems including electronic security systems and acquisition management for USAR specific use.
Analyze mission assurance, risk management, asset protection, and security operations activities.
Recommend strategies, plans, goals, and objectives to ensure effective security programs throughout the Army Reserve Command's area of responsibility.
Analyze security programs using a doctrine, organizations, training, materiel, leader development and education, personnel, and facilities approach and recommends cross-functional solutions to identify capability gaps.
Receive threat data and reviews plans and orders incorporating security measures and countermeasures as necessary.
Monitor reports of criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence activities posing a threat to the Command.
Maintain detailed policies, guidance, programs, and standard operating procedures in accordance with applicable regulations.
Recommend policy changes and develops courses of action to resolve physical security problems after analyzing existing situations.
Monitor the Installation Status Report (ISR) for Services 600 (Physical Security) and 601 (Law Enforcement) data collection, reporting, and analyses and provide recommendations for performance improvement.
Recommend Command security program resource requirements to the Chief, Security Programs Division, for validation by MDEP managers through the Program Objective Memorandum process.
Develop staff program resources justifications through the Division Chief for submission to the Program Objective Memorandum process.
Monitor and report programs' resource execution for compliance and appropriate execution of resources.
Serve as a contracting officer's technical representative (COTR).
Review statements of work for security systems related contract acquisitions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting studies in order to analyze operational effectiveness; developing, implementing, interpreting, and maintaining detailed policies, guidance, programs, and standard operating procedures in accordance with applicable regulations; development and design of electronic security systems; technical development and oversight of contract requirements involving the acquisition and maintenance of physical security technology, equipment, material and systems; reviewing, tracking and analyzing resource management; advising and assisting in the interpretation of the meaning and potential impact of collected intelligence and threat data as it pertains to security and protection. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
