You will serve as a Lead Program Analyst in the Engineering Department of SURFACE MAINT ENG PLANNING PROGRAM.
Duties
You will provide direction and corrosion control strategies for engineers and engineering technicians, management analysts, and integrated contractor team members.
You will oversee the work of specialists functioning on engineering programs, assessments and initiatives for long term-planning of corrosion related off-ship repairs, maintenance, and modernization.
You will serve as a Corrosion Ship Planner for corrosion control programs.
You will provide technical, analytical and advisory services to the Fleet Operations Branch Head and Corrosion Control Division Head and their supporting staff of corrosion control subject matter experts
You will make recommendations on methodologies for enhanced data management and analysis to improve program operations.
You will plan, develop, analyze, and document surface ship, maintenance and availability related projects within the scope of the Corrosion Engineering Division.
You will develop maintenance standards and procedures, testing and evaluating new or modified systems, or analyzes the compatibility of interlocking components and systems.
You will monitor the preparation of drawings, engineering, corrosion, maintenance and modernization data and plans prepared under contract.
You will verify data presented by the contractor and discussing requirements for corrosion, maintenance and modernization planning and control program/project deliverables.
You will provide management advisory, analysis and recommendations for changes to support development of corrosion control initiatives, surface ship operating cycles, maintenance planning and support for Expected Service Life (ESL).
You will identify and recommend appropriate solutions to resolve complex and interrelated problems and issues.
You will provide comprehensive management advisory and technical services on a wide range of corrosion, repair, maintenance and modernization procedures for
surface ship equipment, systems, and platforms.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing a corrosion control program or project operation for surface ships or submarines to measure operational effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, or compliance with regulatory requirements.
