Duties

Serves as a member of the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), CIO/G-6, G-6 Division, Tactical C4 Branch. Manages life cycle of assigned tactical communications systems through development, procurement, and fielding. Directs, prepares, provides technical supervision, and obtains approval of user requirements documents and critical operational issues and criteria. Initiates actions to ensure development of associated planning, testing, and fielding documents.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance.
  • TDY travel up to 35% may be required.
  • Drug testing is required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
