This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Financial Management Directorate (FMD), Card SectionIBC FMD Administrative Support Division, Charge Card Section. The incumbent will be responsible for providing cardholder and approver support, and assistance for all charge card processess, problems/issues, training, application on-boarding, and exit clearance.
Duties
Monitor charge card operating practices and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
Conduct analyses, assess alternative solutions, and prepare recommendations for consideration of the DOI Charge Card Program Manager, DOI Bureaus and Departmental Offices.
Assist in DOI and IBC policy, guidelines and desk top procedure development.
Provide training in charge card use, processing within FBMS, FBMS reports, reallocation processing, monitoring systems and use of bank systems.
Provide support to cardholders and DOI offices and Bureaus.
Qualifications
At the GS-09 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. More specifically, this requirement involves experience with an automated charge card system and a thorough understanding of interface files to an accounting and/or business system; experience interpreting principles, practices, laws, and regulations regarding charge card concepts; experience working with customers on behalf of the organization and assist customers in troubleshooting problems within a charge card system.
OR
B. A master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, if related in one of the following fields: finance and/or business administration; orLL.B. or J.D., if related (Note: Applicants who select this response must provide transcripts as verification of their education);
OR
C. A Combination of education and experience as list above.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
