About the Position: This position is located at the 628th MDG, Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina.

Duties

Organizes, collects, analyzes and presents information related to the personnel time and expense, statistical workload, and financial data of the organization. Collects, records, compiles, analyzes, and corrects the monthly reconciliations and performs the completion of timely reporting of data. Reports accurate and timely submissions of extensive statistical data and expense database of performance factors that assign costs. Provides monthly analysis and findings to Executive Staff, Supervisor, Resource Management office, Data Quality Manager/team, MEPRS monitors, flight, group and squadron commanders. Evaluates/validates the accuracy of expense data used and reconciles all discrepancies with the MTF Budget Officer.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with personnel administration; analyzing data from expense reports and/or budgets; and analyzing the effectiveness of current programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business, health administration or finance. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget AdministrationFundamentals & Operations of BudgetInformation ManagementReasoning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
