About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. The incumbent interprets considerable data and application of established security methods to a variety of variations in the level of security required. The Work will be conducted at Madigan Army Medical Center, bldg. 9040, Jackson Ave, Tacoma Washington.

Duties

Serve as the Personnel Security Manager and point of contact (POC) of a major Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) or Medical Center (MC) Personnel Security Program. Responsible for the overall administration and control of the Personnel Security Program to include all actions pertaining to and concerning US security clearances in accordance with DHA and Department of Defense (DoD) Policy. Ensure adherence to procedural requirements for processing security clearances. Recommend command personnel security policies, directives, and implementing guidance. Establish and maintain security and accountability of classified material. Maintain all cleared personnel and ensure that periodic reinvestigations are coordinated as required. Evaluate security clearances for personnel transferred from other activities and initiates periodic reviews. Provide guidance for the issuance of all types of personnel security clearances as well as special category clearances. Prepare formal requests for suspension for denial of security clearances for approval by the Department of Defense Central Adjudication Facility (DoDCAF).

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance (Tier 3)or access for the duration of employment.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position has been designated "Mission Essential" the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
• Require to be screened for applicable immunizations.
