About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-APF-W0DAAA US ARMY SUSTAINMENT COMMAND.
Duties
Manage Personnel Security Program.
Review/Process Security Clearance Requests
Provide technical Personnel Security advice/assistance to employees and senior staff.
Identify security requirements of proposed TDA positions.
Prepare/deliver findings and recommendations orally and in writing.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized Experience is defined as experience with 1) application, monitoring, and/or enforcement of Personnel Security principles, concepts and/or methodologies; and 2) experience with security related automated systems such as Electronic Questioner for Investigation Processing (e-QIP), the Personnel Security Investigation Portal (PSIP), the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), and the Central Verification System (CVS) for reviewing and processing security clearances.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11).
Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
