About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as Security Specialist for Joint Munitions Command.
Duties
Oversees Government-owned, Contractor-operated (GOCO) and Contractor-owned, Contractor-operated (COCO) physical security requirements for conventional munitions
Influences the course of security programs across command organizational lines by analyzing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating the development of security policy
Advises Joint Munitions Command, Army Material Command, Department of Army, and Department of Defense on security in the contracting environment.
Integrate physical security into the Command's planning and execution of the Army Protection Programs.
Requirements
- A Secret clearance is required.
- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 30% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent obtain Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Devising physical security solutions that align with regulatory requirements; (2) Conducting risk or vulnerability assessments related to the protection of personnel, property, and resources (3) Providing technical advice to senior leaders on security program policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
