You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist at the GG-14 grade level responsible for applying broad knowledge of intelligence research and collections capabilities and programs to effectively interpret, evaluate, and coordinate intelligence requirements for the Research and Development Support Activity (RDSA).

Duties

You will prepare unique analytic assessments and products which impact RDSA activities and equities by applying expert judgment and specialized experience in interpreting information and making decisions. You will be an RDSA representative at meetings with the Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of the Navy, Combatant Commands (CCMD), and Intelligence Community (IC) agencies to maintain awareness of issues which pertain to RDSA activities. You will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with various DoD and IC counterparts in order to facilitate effective and successful collection opportunities over one and two year planning cycles. You will prepare and present briefings on projects, studies, and analysis to high level government officials, or support the development of such briefings for RDSA senior level leadership engagement opportunities. You will implement extensive engagement with DoD, CCMD, and IC groups, both virtually and in person, to develop requirements and technology in support of future joint efforts, while protecting RDSA equities.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may be subject to polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as: 1. Apply broad knowledge of intelligence research and data collection to interpret, evaluate, and cooridinate intelligence requirements. 2. Manage the planning and requirements process for research and development projects by performing expert analysis and production tasks relative to operations. 3. Analyze, evaluate, and integrate data from multiple sources to produce non-standard and innovative assessments.
