The primary purpose of this position is to serve as conduit to installation unit, group and Wing Commander (CC/CCs)/Director (CL/CLs) for employee RESILIENCE AND READINESS matters. Major responsibilities include; Analyzes/evaluates issues related to unit resilience & readiness; leads the development of action plans as related to organizational climate for installation.

Duties

Serves as Lead Community Resilience Coordinator for assigned Organization: Ensures civilian employees receive resource and referral to the appropriate helping agency and ensures installation Peer Support Volunteers are selected, vectored, and managed in accordance with program requirements providing recommendations on policy/program requirements as needed. Performs duties as a unit Community Resilience Coordinator. Provides oversight of assigned Peer Support Volunteers and ensures civilian personnel in assigned units are connected to the appropriate helping agency and serves as liaison between the unit and the CAT community programs/resources within the unit through a variety of marketing means to ensure assigned unit personnel are aware of available resources, programs and special events that promote early help seeking behavior and individual resilience. Provides guidance to installation leadership on all quality of life and resilience matters impacting unit climate and assigned members. Leads the collection of Community Resilience Program metrics from all assigned organizations and Community Resilience Coordinators to provide input to the Community Resilience Program Director on installation policies pertaining to quality of life, morale, and people programs. Provides recommendations on creating a Wingman Culture by providing recommendations on implementation and policy as it relates to by-law requirements at the unit and installation level.

  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
  • Must receive required certification (ie - Master Resilience Trainer) within first assigned 12 months
  • A bachelor's degree is highly desirable
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least three years of progressively responsible general experience, one year of experience which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-04), level, pay band (NH-01), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc). Typically, we would find this experience in work within this field that is closely related. General Experience is described as experience demonstrating the ability to: 1) analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) plan and organize work; and 3) communicate effectively orally and in writing. Experience for this position includes: Overseas the day to day activities of the assigned Community Resilience Coordinators. Meets with unit level leadership to provide recommendations based on program metrics and unit observations. OR EDUCATION: Applicants must havesuccessfully completed 4-years above high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education has been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. Knowledge of available installation and community helping agencies/resources (i.e. Airman & Family Readiness Center, Employee Assistance Program, Civilian Health Promotion Services, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, etc.). Skill in planning, scheduling, and conducting projects and studies including gathering, assembling, and analyzing facts; drawing conclusions; devising recommended solutions. Skill in preparing and presenting initial training, briefings and presentations; ability to develop course material for briefings and training materials for a variety of audiences and possess skill in dealing with customers and the public. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate issues; and maintain good working relationships. Ability to develop and present reports for senior leadership. Ability to interface with a wide range of personnel, including senior leadership, with tact, courtesy, diplomacy and professionalism. Ability to effectively teach, lead and assist with committees, working groups and teams. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
