You will serve as a Branch Manager in the Fleet Readiness Division, Combat Systems Alignment (CSA) Engineering Branch of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA or San Diego, CA.

Duties

You will plan, organize and manage material and personnel resources for Combat Systems Battery Alignment Engineering. You will support Aegis and Non-Aegis in-service, new construction, modernization and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) combat and weapons systems on behalf of the sponsoring program office and station. You will posses authority to make decisions on behalf of program issues for Systems Engineering and Test and Evaluation projects. You will monitor and evaluate performance, establish priorities, assign work, adjust workloads and advise subordinate personnel. You will monitor technical performance and analyze new developments for potential application to program requirements. You will contribute to the development, maintenance/evolution and execution of Command policy, strategy and initiatives in support of today's mission as well as the evolution of mission to support tomorrow's warfighters.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical direction toward satisfying engineering technical objectives for Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Systems Engineering projects to include new construction and modernization of combat and weapons systems.
