About the Position: This position is located with the Housing Division, Directorate of Public Works, Fort Stewart, GA.
Duties
Provides technical housing expertise and assistance to garrison Commander/Manager and other installation staff in representing Department of the Army (DA), Army Command, and garrison objectives.
Maintains/monitors enterprise Military Housing (eMH) database.
Develops overall installation plans and procedures for barracks sustainment, to include restoration, modernization, and/or replacement projects.
Analyzes and assesses data for a variety of reports pertinent to availability of housing, Military and Civilian personnel, quarterly data on customer service, and Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) annual surveys.
Performs or directs periodic or scheduled surveys, audits, reviews, studies, and inspections to determine family housing conditions or requirements and to evaluate work being performed under the housing contracts.
Advises chain-of-command on all aspects of the installation housing program and submits necessary reports, information papers, briefings, etc.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State and/or International driver’s license.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Position may require after hours call-back for emergencies.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing plans or procedures for barracks sustainment; and analyzing data for a variety of reports pertinent to availability of housing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
