About the Position: Serves as a first line supervisor in the General Supply Division responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing work for warehouse and supply operations.

Duties

Explain all work requirements, methods, procedures, specific hazards and safety precaution to all personnel. Ensure all personnel, materials and equipment required for operations are at designated work site. Plan and assign work based on priorities, requirements of assignments and capabilities of employees. Evaluate performance of subordinate personnel. Plan and review work in progress and upon completion. Plan distribution, set deadlines and duties of work on a day-to-day or project-to-project basis for subordinates.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires the completion of a pre-employment physical examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health/ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • Position requires moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Position requires the incumbent to handle munitions or explosives and transport one or more passengers on at least a weekly basis. The position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing.
  • Performance of duties require the position to complete the introductory course in hazardous waste management within six months of being assigned to this position and attend annual refresher course.
  • This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
  • Performance of duties requires incumbent to possess and continue to maintain a valid, State-issued license.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid forklift operator license.
  • TDY travel is occasionally required.
