You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (NETWORK) in the Digital Network and Applications (DNA) Department LAB & FACILITY OPERATIONS DIVISION, LAB SYSTEMS OPERATIONS BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will establish long-term task priorities, determines work procedures and methods, and guides employees and/or supervisors’ work.
You will motivate the employees and/or supervisors under his/her leadership to perform and leads the work unit(s) through developing organizational objectives.
You will resolve technical problems; reviews work; and provides, finds, and/or research answers to employees’ and/or supervisors’ questions.
You will provide network services for all classified and unclassified network environments.
You will maintain oversight of all routers, firewalls, switches, boundary authentication devices, wireless and physical cable plants.
You will provide classified and unclassified operating system, application, database and web administration support for all systems and servers residing in laboratories.
You will provide operations and maintenance support, system upgrades, security application, architecture and general management for servers, databases and applications.
You will monitor and report regularly to Branch Head on the status of IT projects. Pay particular attention to indicators that a program is not on target to meet timelines, goals and objectives.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9/11/12 grade level or pay band (NM-3) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.)Provide day-to-day operational support for Information Technology infrastructure. 2.) Ensures effective and efficient maintenance and operations workflow and practices to help improve availability and performance of systems and dependent environments. 3.) Monitor all systems/networks and assists to resolve complex issues in system/network software and hardware. Develop expertise and prepare instructions to train users on new technologies. 4.) Perform administrative support, troubleshooting, and issue reporting. 4.) Perform local and remote access support and troubleshooting. 5.) Research and make recommendations in all areas of Information Technology acquisition investments. 6.) Oversee Information Technology acquisition, deployment and management of Information Systems for multiple networks across multiple distant sites. 7.) Work with Systems/Network Administrators to maintain and support the networks, storage devices, physical and virtual environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
