You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER (DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF FUTURE OPERATIONS) in the N35 of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT.

Duties

You will serve as the Deputy Future Operations Officer and is responsible for the administration of the division's daily operations. You will perform a range of supervisory functions to include, but not limited to, assignment of work to subordinates based on priorities; evaluate work performance of subordinates. You will identify developmental and training needs of Operations personnel; find ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed; develops performance standards. You will provide oversight of N35 and Special Projects spending plans and budget. You will provide leadership, guidance, training, and mentorship to all Naval Special Warfare Group EIGHT (NSWG-8) Future Operations Division personnel, approximately 20 military /civilian personnel. You will coordinate Global Force Management of NSWG-8 assets, to include attendance at all applicable planning meetings and conferences impacting this process. You will review and analyze operational plans and orders for suitability, feasibility, acceptability, technical accuracy, adequacy, and integration of Special Operations Forces (SOF) content. You will ensure timely and accurate submission of Defense Readiness Reporting System- Strategic (DRRS-S) reports by NSWG-8 headquarters, as well as all subordinate commands.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning major, highly technical operations in and from the maritime environment as the Command's primary undersea mission force AND directing, managing,and evaluating a highly technical, complex, and one-of-a-kind program with the day-to-day short, and long-term objectives of isolating, identifying, and providing recommended solutions to critical requirements levied within the department and other agencies.
