This position is on the Corrections, Reentry and Justice Reform Team, Policy Office, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and serves as a Senior Policy Advisor and expert/authority designing and directing efforts involving institutional corrections, community corrections, and reentry.

Screen Out Factor:Experience developing, implementing and managing initiatives to advance institutional corrections, community supervision, and reentry with multi partner and cross jurisdictional collaborations. MINIMUM FEDERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSQualifying experience for the GS-14 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-13 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: experience providing expert analysis and advice on complex institutional corrections, community supervision, and reentry implementation program issues; planned and prepared documents related to institutional corrections, community supervision, and reentry proposals and implementation; analyzed techniques to evaluate findings related to institutional corrections, community supervision, and reentry implementation program accomplishments; developed grant management policies in institutional corrections, community supervision, and reentry implementation or served as a technical expert in evaluation of complex discretionary grants and/or agreements related to institutional corrections, community supervision, and reentry.TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications as described above will be further evaluated based upon the following technical qualifications:Ability to provide advice and guidance in the design and direction of institutional corrections, community supervision, and reentry implementation, such as on guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures, and grants and cooperative agreement policies.Ability to apply analytical, data-driven methods and techniques in the identification and resolution of Ability to apply analytical, data-driven methods and techniques in the identification and resolution of institutional corrections, community supervision, and reentry implementation issues.Ability to plan and execute work.Ability to communicate in writing.Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
