As the Supervisory Administrative Specialist, you will be responsible for providing organizational support to management, staff, and co-workers on a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring all requests are completed and within guidelines set forth by the Center and Agency. You will lead a team of Executive Support Assistants and Administrative Support Assistants to perform the necessary administrative tasks for the Center.
Duties
Supervises a team of Executive Assistants and Administrative Assistants, serving as advocate for the administrative staff. Offers guidance on work methods, practices, procedures, problem-solving, and techniques through coaching/mentoring and advice.
Handles the day-to-day administrative tasks, interprets, and implements organizational policies, and offers guidance to executive management.
Writes correspondence, recommendations, reports, and memoranda on management and administrative matters, occasionally creating charts and graphs for presentations.
Assists with audio/video equipment during meetings, workshops, and events, and takes meeting minutes when needed.
Offers reliable administrative support services to contribute positively to Glenn's administrative capabilities.
Refines processes to enhance organizational efficiency in line with management policies.
Maintains various databases and spreadsheets to track the progress or status of items of interest to management and staff.
Provides a positive customer service experience to all customers and coordinates with individuals within and outside the organization, the Center, and across Center Directorates on work efforts.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-09 level, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level:
providing assistance to management and staff related to administrative, secretarial, or logistical duties;
utilizing organization procedures and standards to complete work assignments and support management and staff by planning, coordinating, organizing, or executing administrative tasks; and
accomplishing administrative or management tasks that involve extracting information from various sources.
OR
b) Completed all requirements for a master's or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field
OR
c) Completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field
OR
d) LL. B or J.D, if related
OR
e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above
