You will serve as a Reserve Affairs Specialist within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will provide quarterly guidance to INDOPACOM Joint Directorate representatives with ADOS (Active Duty for Operational Support) program updates, and explain ADOS policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise.
You will determine appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems and perform follow-up.
You will research and determine or recommend appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact organization, command, or agency with regards to the ADOS program.
You will utilize an extensive knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods to issues or studies concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of command Reserve program operations.
You will evaluate reports by analyzing facts and manpower, perform appropriate research, and prepare detailed responses.
You will develop cooperative relationships with Service Components to expand and improve INDOPACOM reserve utilization.
You will utilize demonstrated knowledge of Reserve Component (RC) support to Combatant Commands in the development of INDOPACOM strategy, plans and policy.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include:
1. Managing Active Duty for Operational Support (ADOS) programs, Air Force Reserve (AFR) utilization program, and Reserve Component manpower requirements and processes through service components and the Joint Staff.
2. Applying knowledge of a wide-range of concepts, principles, and practices relating to military personnel management, financial management, and management information systems.
3. Analyzing staffing requirements and utilization regarding Command Reserve Total Force Assessment.
4. Applying a wide-range of military human resources concepts, practices, laws, regulations, policies, and precedents related to Guard and Reserve personnel sufficient to provide comprehensive human resources management advisory and technical services on the substantive functions of Reserve program and work practices.
