Duties
Leads, conducts, facilitates, and/or participates in Integrated Product/Process Teams (IPT) and working groups as required.
Leads participation in USSOCOM, Army, and USASOC Requirements Identification and Development processes to validate and
prioritize required capabilities as well as to identify Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Service Common capability gaps and associated solutions.
Possesses broad knowledge of Force Development and Modernization processes and functions in support of the Command's Strategic Planning Process
Possesses broad knowledge of all command functions (intel, operations, sustainment, etc.), organizations (USASOC HQ Staff, USAJFKSWCS, Special Forces, Civil Affairs, PSYOP, Aviation, Ranger Regiment, and Enabler Support)
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SSBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
- TDY travel is required 10% or less of the time.
- This position has a one-year supervisory probation period to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience:1) In-depth front end analysis to determine future force Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) requirements; 2) Communicating effectively, to include writing and briefing detailed, comprehensive reports concerning force development, analysis, projects, initiatives, and recommendations to Senior leadership, and 3) Expert knowledge of Special Operations core activities, missions, and functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
