Duties
Supervising, leading, planning, and managing the operations of the DLA Records and Information Management (RIM), Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and privacy compliance programs.
Serves as the agency senior technical expert and practitioner with extensive knowledge of the design, creation, implementation, and management of a records and information management program
(cont.) and staff by identifying and mitigating potential RIM risks, evaluating organizational risks, and identifying, developing, and implementing solutions.
Advises the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Office of the Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO), senior program managers, and the General Counsel's Office on adequacy of documentation and creation and management of agency records.
Facilitates communication to DLA offices and provides strategic information to build coalitions across the Enterprise and collaborates with various Department of Defense (DoD) entities and work closely with the DoD Senior Agency Official (SAO).
Develops a strategic plan for the RIM program.
Develops and maintains budget requirements for storage of archived records at NARA Federal Records Centers (FRCs) offsite storage facilities and for procurement of records equipment and supplies.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Records and Information Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Directs planning and timely execution of Records and Information Management (RIM), Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and privacy compliance mission and functions;
Advises on all matters relating to the management and oversight responsibilities for RIM, FOIA, and privacy act compliance issues;
Supervises a team of technician and administrative specialists engaged in RIM/FOIA/Privacy Act work;
Develops and maintains budget requirements for storage of archived records and for procurement of records equipment and supplies.
