You will serve as an EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER COORDINATOR EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER COORDINATOR in the Office of the S7 Installation Protection of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
SALARY RANGES
GS-07: $48,567 - $63,137 P/A
GS-09: $59,407 - $77,226 P/A
Duties
During actual emergencies or exercises you will present a daily staff briefing to provide the status of the Base's response efforts to include missions, manpower, contracts, and extent of coordination with other federal and state agencies.
You will develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists and directories for use in the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) during specialized activities such as natural disasters, mobilization alert, and FEMA response.
You will assist principal staff in developing and updating emergency preparedness and responses plans and documents which address natural disasters, national emergencies and continuity of operations at the local, regional, state and national levels.
You will participate in meetings and conferences with representatives from other Corps districts, federal, state, local, and support agencies, and the general public.
You will assist staff in developing, coordinating, and arranging emergency training and exercise programs.
You will operate secure and unclassified equipment used in the EOC including personal computers, word processing, database, graphics and communications software.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This is a key position.
- Required to work overtime on an emergency basis.
Qualifications
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, initiating and coordinating the administration of operations during emergencies such as natural disasters or national security emergencies relating to mobilization, civil disturbance and continuity of government; developing, coordinating, and arranging emergency training and exercise programs.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in planning and coordinating the administration of operations during emergencies such as natural disasters or national security emergencies relating to mobilization, civil disturbance and continuity of government.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For the GS-09 level:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
