You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment & Placement) in the Staffing and Recruitment division of OCHR STENNIS OPERATIONS CENTER.
This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

Duties
You will provide Human Resources guidance and consultation.
You will research and analyze Human Resources issues.
You will ensure compliance with applicable Human Resources regulations and procedures.
You will communicate orally and in writing to provide factual Human Resources information.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Resolving human resources (HR) issues in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures; 2) Providing technical HR guidance to applicants/customers; and 3) Researching and applying HR rules and regulations to solve less complex problems. Education
In lieu of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level, you may also meet minimum qualifications with the below education:
Completed one full academic year (18 semester hours or equivalent) of graduate education in a field which equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this Human Resources Specialist position.
OR
Completed A bachelor's degree that meets the requirements for a GS-201-07 under Superior Academic Achievement through one of the following methods: (Note: No more than 10% of academic credit can be based on pass/fail or similar non-traditional grading systems. You must submit transcripts and other qualifying documentation to support your claim.) (1). 2.95 GPA overall or higher or in last 2 years (= or less than 10% Pass/Fail); (2). 3.45 GPA or higher in major or in last 2 years in major (= or less than 10% Pass/Fail); (3). Upper 1/3 ranking in graduating class (you must submit proof with your application); (4). National Scholastic Honor Society. Membership in a freshman honor society cannot be used to meet the requirements of this provision.
OR
You must have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
