Duties
Serves as USARAKs assistant subject matter expert in all matters pertaining to proper ceremonial forms, honors, courtesies, etiquette, and other protocol issues.
Knowledgeable in the following regulations, pamphlets, and field manuals; DA600-60, OPNAVINST 1710.7A, AF134-1201, AR600-25, AR840-10, FM3-21.5, AR1-15, and AR37-47.
Serves as a USARAK liaison with various foreign embassies, Congressional staff offices, Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of the Army, Air Force and Navy, state and local governments
Conceptualizes plans, coordinates, facilitates and executes all protocol requirements and support for the visit of high-ranking DV level 1(Heads of State) to DV Level 6 (Brigadier General) US and foreign visitors to USARAK.
Prepares, distributes, and briefs the CG and staff elements on all visitors and events reports.
Requirements
- Incumbent must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Temporary duty may be required 15% of the time.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- The position requires the employee to travel away from the normal duty station to include CONUS or OCONUS and may include remote or isolated areas.
- The employee must be willing and able to travel on military or commercial aircraft.
- Must be able to deploy to escort distinguished visitors and to operate the Joint Visitors Bureau.
- Required to work other than normal duty hours which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. One year of specialized experience which includes extensive experience with AR-840-10, DA PAM 600-60; experience providing proper level of protocol courtesies and decorum for distinguished military and civilian visitors in order to plan, coordinate and conduct official and social events.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
