If more than 5 pages are submitted, only the first 5 pages will be reviewed to determine your eligibility/qualifications About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance.

Duties

The Production Manager provides policy guidance along with overall objectives and guidance as to available resources and are generally available to discuss possible approaches for action. Determine division priorities, goals and development of plans for the accomplishment of the workload assigned to the organization. Encourage and facilitate cooperation within the Directorate to impact organizational effectiveness and meet production goals. Manage a working capital fund budget that finances production maintenance services to ensure increase in revenue and cost is matched by production growth. Analyze the mission workload in relationship to the budget using the Logistic Modernization Program and Army Workload and Performance System (AWPS) to support production requirements. Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as direct labor hour productivity, schedule conformance, performance to promise, budget compliance, cost management and quality defect rates to improve overall production performance. Review short, mid, and long-range production requirements to develop plans for meeting requirements addressing all aspects of the Depot's 7-Dimensional Analysis.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

To qualify applicant specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, resumes will be reviewed for experience which provided: (1) Experience in determining, coordinating, and directing work operations in a production environment. (2) Experience establishing timelines and monitoring assignments, recommending changes and determining resources needed to maintain set deadlines. (3) Experience in the Depot's budget, revenue, scheduling, and expensing processes to include the usage of Depot systems to monitor and oversee schedule and cost performance for programs assigned to the Division. (4) Experience in continuous process improvement such as, finding ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote team building, and improve business practices (5) Experience in the technical, production, and quality aspects in a manufacturing environment.-Failure to meet this specialized experience will result in an ineligible rating.
