Duties
You will plan and conduct comprehensive analytical studies of assigned organizations or significant segments of several major management functions to improve organizational structure and staffing levels.
You will collect and analyze pertinent organizational data and information; develop statistical and narrative data to justify any changes with recommendations; prepare and present briefings.
You will advise on proposed reorganizations and/or realignment of functions and staffing level changes.
You will perform workforce utilization studies to determine span of staffing levels.
You will analyze human resource requirements and assist/advise management on realignments of personnel between departments, divisions, or branches.
You will collect, review, evaluate, and interpret data. Present findings, options, and recommendations via briefings, staff reports, etc.
You will conduct studies of the structure and/or functions of organizations with interrelated work processes or functions
You will work to to resolve substantive issues of moderate scope, and propose new organization structures, realignments of functions, solution to staffing levels to improve efficiency.
Requirements

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You may be required to assume or assist with the duties of the Supervisory Management Analyst, GS-0343-12 (Branch Head) in their absence.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
- This position requires prolonged standing, climbing, walking, crawling, kneeling, crouching, and reaching during investigations.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrates assessing the productivity, effectiveness, or efficiency of program operations; AND developing methods to improve the effectiveness in which programs are administered.

Education
Specialized Experience can be substituted with the following education:
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR
- 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR
- LL.M., if related
NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
