You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST in the MARINE CORP LOGISTICS COMMAND of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND. This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will design and conduct studies where the boundaries are extremely broad and difficult to determine in advance. You will develop detailed plans and direct/conduct studies dealing with work measurement, methods/procedures, engineered time standards and/or bench marking, to identify problems/propose solutions to improve production efficiency. You will plan, organize and coordinate tours, conferences, special events and cermonies with Marine Corps Logistics Command representatives. You will design/conduct management surveys, review/research projects and provides advisory services on issues that often require input and assistance from analysts and subject matter experts. You will perform internal management support services in the areas of program cost monitoring, annual fiscal planning, and development of annual work-plans.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • I am willing and able to work an uncommon tour of duty (may include weekend, nights, overtime, or holidays).
  • I am willing and able to perform temporary duty at locations other than my permanent duty station which may include travel by military or commercial aircraft/flights.
  • This position requires which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
  • The position may be subject to recall to duty out side of normal duty hours.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: advising managers on the administrative and programmatic aspects of organizational operations and management by performing studies concerned with program effectiveness, organizational efficiency, and workforce measurements.
