About the Position: This position is within the ASC Support Operations Directorate (SPO), Rock Island, IL.
Duties
Performs logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support the Second Destination Transportation (SDT) Program.
Coordinate and review all aspects of the transportation and traffic management procedures.
Serves in an integration role to coordinate, review and interpret transportation guidance/requirements for Second Destination.
Helps set internal SDT priorities and furnishes technical and administrative advice and assistance as required to resolve problems and assure continuity of efforts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 20% of the time.
- Position requires incumbent employee to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Planning various logistics functions (i.e. services/operations, advanced concepts, principles/practices/regulations) to ensure integration/coordination into a complete operational program; Ensuring the maximum use of logistical resources (i.e. supply, maintenance, transportation, program management, plans, operations) to resolve differing logistics operation viewpoints; Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness/efficiency of logistics programs/operations; Applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the assessment and improvement of logistics programs. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
