About the Position: This Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist position is assigned to the Program Executive Officer Soldier, Project Manager Soldier, Survivability, located at Fort Belvoir, VA
Duties
Serves as a supervisory logistics management specialist with responsibility for coordination and direction of logistics activities for programs under project/product management.
Serves as functional authority and subject matter expert (SME), coordinating and directing logistics activities for one or more major complex system.
Identifies new program requirements and provides for the development of plans for integration with current mission.
Participates in development of budgetary requirements for adequate logistics support of assigned systems.
Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work of subordinate staff engaged in carrying out assigned program responsibilities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Advanced Level in the Acquisition Career Field Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- Business travel required up to 30% of the time.
- This position requires submission of Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year supervisory probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Applying concepts and theories of logistics management to evaluate policies and proposals involving the assumption of major new logistics support missions and programs; 2) Implementing comprehensive product support strategy throughout the life cycle for materiel system(s); 3) Providing authoritative advice on integrated product support throughout all phases of the acquisition lifecycle; and 4) Providing procedures for asset accountability, planning, logistics operations, exercises, and materiel readiness to maintain effective logistics operations and readiness support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).
