About the Position: This position is located with US Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command ILSC, Field Support Operations Fleet Management Expansion located at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Duties
Reviews request for parts, tools, or equipment submitted by mechanics or other personnel.
Operates a motor vehicle to pick up and deliver parts and supplies.
Maintains demand history records and ensures replenishment requests are submitted in a timely manner.
Dispatches all required operational equipment for the various Fort Leonard Wood TRADOC schools as needed for training and support.
Reviews request for parts, tools, or equipment submitted by mechanics or other personnel.
Routes and expedites parts and supplies and materials to specific shops.
Performs a wide range of supply, maintenance management and operational functions in the areas of the Army Maintenance Management System.
Requisitioning, receiving, reconciliation, inventory, equipment status reporting, issuing/dispatching, and equipment maintenance file update.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
- This position is subject to the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for this position.
- This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R and must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of Specialized experience which includes (1) Reviewing request for parts, tools or equipment submitted by shop personnel; (2) Performing clerical task such as creating reports, forms, correspondences, and memorandums; and (3) Using Automated Inventory Systems to verify inventory (i.e stock number, quantiles needed). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
