About the Position: Serves as Deputy Chief, Resources and Programming Division, Training Directorate, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans, and senior program analyst responsible for a variety of program analysis and related functions.
Duties
Serves as top technical advisor to the Training Program Evaluation Group PEG chairs ( SES) on all matters concerning the development of the Program objective Memorandum (POM).
Maintains continual surveillance of the Planning, Programming, Budget and Execution (PPBE) process to insure the Directorate’s mission is appropriately and successfully resourced.
Readily identifies impact of resourcing questions at all phases of the Planning, Programming, Budget and Execution ( PPBE), Congressional marks and inquiries, budgeting and programming.
Responsible for the defense and programming of over 120 Management Decision packages (MDEPs).
Oversight of the subordinate Program Evaluation Group (PEG) administrator who works the Management Decision packages (MDEP) details and programming database.
Develops courses of action to address training resource problems that are presented to Army leadership through the Program Budget Committee and the Army Resource Board.
Responsible for supervising, evaluating, and mentoring the Resources and Programming Division.
Responsible for the organization of work effort; dissemination of tasks; establishment of priorities, monitoring review and approval of work completed and/or submitted.
Determines operational priorities and adjusts staff assignments to ensure compliance with suspense requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent is required sign a DA-5019 form, pass a pre-employment drug test prior to being appointed and submit to random drug testing at any time during federal employment as a condition of employment.
- Financial Management Certification Level 3 required.
- Position designated as Key Essential.
- The person must be exempt from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
