About the Position: The Human Resources Assistant position is located at the Human Resources Command, RES OPS & READ SPT DIV RES ACC DISTRO BR.

Duties

Compare information on application with supporting documents and verified specifics within the military personnel records. Prepare active duty orders utilizing TOPMIS program, and computer software packages (PERNET, AORS) to produce amendments, revocations and appointment letters. Ensure for the proper security clearance and investigation has been initiated. Compose/types/prepares replies to written inquiries/correspondence and letters to military personnel advising them of their selection/non-selection for active duty appointment.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Performs a wide variety of administrative functions to support a personnel action and services team consisting of a specific group or specialty branch in support of soldiers in the Army Reserve, retirees, veterans, and their family members. Duties which includes work that demonstrates knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, procedures and precedents related to processing Army Reserve personnel actions and services. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
