About the Position: The Human Resources Assistant position is located at the Human Resources Command, RES OPS & READ SPT DIV RES ACC DISTRO BR.
Duties
Compare information on application with supporting documents and verified specifics within the military personnel records.
Prepare active duty orders utilizing TOPMIS program, and computer software packages (PERNET, AORS) to produce amendments, revocations and appointment letters.
Ensure for the proper security clearance and investigation has been initiated.
Compose/types/prepares replies to written inquiries/correspondence and letters to military personnel advising them of their selection/non-selection for active duty appointment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience is defined as one-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Performs a wide variety of administrative functions to support a personnel action and services team consisting of a specific group or specialty branch in support of soldiers in the Army Reserve, retirees, veterans, and their family members. Duties which includes work that demonstrates knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, procedures and precedents related to processing Army Reserve personnel actions and services.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
