You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the UNDERWAY REPLENISHMENT DIVISION, COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST AND EVALUATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will serve as a logistician providing life cycle logistics program support for the Underway Replenishment (UNREP) systems and ships. You will prepare, coordinate, and integrate product support requirements for life cycle system maintainability and supportability. You be responsible for matters relating to provisioning and maintenance planning, implementation and management for UNREP systems and equipment. You will develop, define, and review maintenance policies/concepts, technical documentation and provisioning requirements for provisioned items associated with UNREP throughout the equipment life cycle. You will review and maintain Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTO), Technical Data Packages (TOP), maintain parts list, allowance equipage lists and ensure accuracy by established maintenance policies.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • There may be visits to test sites, contractor facilities, and ships involving exposure to adverse weather, high noise levels, and hazardous conditions, such as welding and crane operation.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating and modifying logistics requirements and objectives to identify and resolve problems in supply operations or procedures for the sustainment of ship systems and effective fleet operational capabilities.
