Duties

You will develop and implement the Administrative departments strategic plan and structure alignment You will develop and review program, policies and procedures and change the existing program of the Commands Administrative Department You will ensure administrative staff complete training and adhere to standardized process You will identify and provide solutions to financial, personnel and materials needs and problems You will develop performance standard and evaluate employee performance

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Administrative Officer specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing, overseeing and executing various administrative programs in order to assure the effective and efficient accomplishment of the organizations mission. 2) Managing incoming and outgoing routine and military justice-related correspondence. 3) Oversight of budget actions and projects and for resolving a variety of problems related to the assignment and administrative processing of assigned actions. 4) Assist in formulating and recommend administrative policies, procedures and regulations to determine and evaluate needs, and anticipates results of implementation. 5) Assign work to subordinate based on employees, capabilities, priorities and difficulty.
