You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBER SECURITY BRANCH of the ACIO/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT for NAVSURFWARCENDLD. Your position will be the Policy & Plans Team Lead.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14
Duties
You will Review, research, develop and draft cybersecurity (and related) local policy at various levels
You will participate in, or represent the Cybersecurity Branch Head in working groups where a collaboration of personnel representing various Depts.
You will work with Cybersecurity Branch Head and Command Security Manager to review and discuss policy at all levels.
You will attend some project and other meetings to help provide policy/guidance to help steer projects in the correct direction.
You will perform checks and coordinate with departments, divisions, branches and all personnel to prepare for inspections, audits and similar activities.
You will manage and track all statuses and actions relative to inspections and provide metrics, reports, spreadsheets and other documentation for review, up to and including NSWCDD Senior Leadership, as well as external entities.
You will initiate contact and consolidate information and data from all NSWCDD Departments in order to provide to the Cybersecurity Branch Head for completion of cybersecurity Risk Analysis Reports.
You will review and provide feedback on Temporary Approval Request for Information System (TARIS) Forms.
You will assist in providing guidance and instructions regarding SMR-N Forms.
You will lead the effort within the Code 1043 Branch (Command Cybersecurity Branch) to draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maximize uniformity.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 752 level Advanced (A) within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying Information Technology (IT) security principles to monitor and evaluate systems compliance with cybersecurity requirements. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
