Duties
This position is part of the DoD, Missile Defense Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for advising the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) leadership on all matters related to program cost, schedule and performance across the Missile Defense System (MDS).
As a Program Analyst at the NH-0343-4 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Document and lead program acquisition strategies and deliverables for a major weapon system or Missile Defense System (MDS) component; report across the Program and Agency to senior SES and Flag/General Officers on the status and management of acquisition products.
Manage activities to develop the acquisition documents IAW Missile Defense Agency processes and oversee approval and execution of approved acquisition strategies.
Prepare, review, and document program acquisition documents for internal and external communications to include Agency leadership, other government Agencies, and prime contractors.
Develop and lead acquisition strategies and recommend courses of action to support a program's capability deliveries.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-04 broadband level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
Experience applying systems acquisition processes, policies, procedures, and practices necessary to develop and assess technical and economic feasibility, including cost, schedule and performance; using systems acquisition processes and acquisition policies, procedures, and practices to develop strategies while considering cost, schedule, risk and performance; collaborating efficiently across programs, organizations, external stakeholders.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
