About the Position: Serve as a Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist, responsible for overseeing civilian personnel engaged in processing centralized background checks; conducting interim/final suitability adjudication determinations; and, due processes and appeals for the total Army workforce.

Duties

Implement and manage a comprehensive suitability/security program. Provide technical oversight of, and expertise regarding, the centralized background check and suitability determinations made by subordinates. Coordinate and monitor the execution of assigned functions. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates. Effect minor disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands and refers unresolved disciplinary problems to supervisor.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
