You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST (ORDNANCE) in the FLT ORDNANCE & SUPPLY DIV of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.

Duties

You will serve as the fleet wide expert authority of ordnance related issues, including explosive safety. You will collaborate with warfare communities to facilitate the development of consensus on ordnance readiness issues. You will direct and/or perform continuing program execution review and routinely reports status to senior leadership. You will provide oversight on fleet ordnance allowance development and coordinates ship fill to meet fleet response requirements.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and knowledge of air launched, surface, and subsurface ordnance and related systems, ordnance management processes/systems, Fleet Ordnance Support Infrastructure, ordnance inventory management processes, explosive safety directives/policy and organizational risk management. Skill in analyzing complex, multiple program changes and future program plans for the purpose of identifying shortfalls, evaluating acceptable risks and recommending alternate actions. Expert in applying complex fact-finding, analytical, and problem-solving methods and techniques to identify interrelated program problems, draw conclusions, develop courses of actions and recommend appropriate action or solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Comprehensive knowledge of ammunition life cycle management. Knowledge and experience with weapon station and stock point processes and readiness, including personnel, material handling equipment, weapons maintenance, pier scheduling, and ordnance load planning requirements.
