This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, (CMMI), Division of Population Health Incentives and Infrastructure (DPHII).
As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist (Deputy Division Director), GS-0107-14, you will serve as Deputy Director of DPHII. This is a temporary position, not to exceed one (1) year.
Duties
Serve as full Deputy and alter ego to the Director and as such, shares fully in the management of all phases of the work of the organization.
Direct and lead technically proficient project teams.
Direct activities with internal and external stakeholders, including senior level officials from the Department of Health and Human Services
Present issues to senior management and serve as principal advisor to the Director on requirements and issues associated with the program area of expertise.

In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Leading projects or studies related to the design or implementation of Medicaid, Medicare, or Children's Health Insurance Programs; AND (2) Developing or implementing models to achieve better care or lower costs for beneficiaries if a health insurance program; AND (3) Serving as a liaison to state officials, federal officials, or executives of other healthcare organizations..
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
