Duties
The candidate selected for this position will perform research in software assurance including AI-based bug finding. Independently carries out a full range of computer science research related to software assurance including work on the Software Assurance Reference Dataset (SARD) project, the Static Analysis Tool Exposition (SATE) project, and development of reference data for AI-based bug finding.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
In addition to the above basic requirements: All applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of the specialized experience at the GS-12 level (ZP-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience performing computer science research including experience assessing the output of static analysis tool, work creating software assurance reference data such as injected vulnerabilities, and work in AI to find software bugs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
